How did we clean tartar in a natural and pleasant way?!
Hey, my name is Kiril Todorov and I have been breeding and training dogs since 2016. I have always believed that nature provides everything animals need to grow and live healthy and perform their function properly. Therefore, I approach the additional cleaning of dogs’ teeth with misunderstanding and I think that it is completely unnecessary, as there is a natural mechanism for this.
Before I tell you how I have been keeping my dogs’ teeth perfectly white for years, let’s take a look at what dental plaque is and how it forms.
More than 80% of pets over the age of three have plaque and tartar buildup!
What is tartar?
Tartar is a hard mineral deposit that forms on the teeth and gum line. It is the result of the mineralization of dental plaque, which is a sticky layer of bacteria that forms on the teeth. If it is not removed in a timely manner, it can harden and turn into tartar, which is much more difficult to remove.
Causes of tartar
Diet
Diet is a major factor that affects the condition of teeth. Dogs fed commercial, dry food accumulate plaque much faster and more often. Like “Zrancho”, the granules stick to the teeth.
It is a mistake to believe that dogs chew the kibble and thus clean their teeth. This leads to the opposite effect. Dogs chew only when they tear a piece of meat, skin, tendons or bones.
Running a dog hotel for 7 years now, over 5000+ dogs have passed through me, thanks to which I had the pleasure of observing the effect of the different diets.
From personal experience, I was able to convince myself that the BARF method (raw meat, bones, organs, vegetables, etc.) is the best way to eat. Dogs that are fed raw have:
- White teeth;
- Excellent weight;
- Small and hard stools;
- Shiny fur that does not fall off;
- Super appetite
Thus, in our desire to offer my customers food of excellent quality, we created Divus Foods. A small brand in which the priority is the personal attitude to the customer, fresh raw materials, high quality and professionalism of our team.
