How did a small Bulgarian company solve the problem of lack of appetite in hundreds of dogs?
Lack of appetite….
If you are one of the concerned owners who constantly buy different types of kibble, and their dog still has no appetite and you have to add a piece of meat, cheese or something tasty to lure your pet, and he refuses, even when you feed him by hand, then you know that you will not be alone. Most dogs refuse to eat kibble and this is quite normal.
Don’t worry, the problem is not with you, nor with your dog!
Dogs and cats are intelligent and intuitive creatures. Imagine your food being in a huge sack and eating this way for years. You are unlikely to be very enthusiastic and have an irrepressible appetite …
Granules were invented for the purpose of convenience and huge profits for manufacturers. The same ones that produce most semi-finished products for us in stores! But they are not the natural food of any dog.
Domestic dogs have the same digestive system and nutritional needs as wolves. This has been the case for more than 10,000 years. If you want your dog to be healthy, happy and eat with appetite, choose – raw meat, bones, organs, fruits and vegetables.
Our short story:
We started Divus in 2020, selling our food mainly to friends and had a small freezer that we still keep as a souvenir in the garage. We sold only 300-400 kg per month, but we received excellent feedback. Clients told us that Dogs adore food and become excited just by opening the refrigerator. Yes, you read that right – the refrigerator. Real fresh food is not stored in bags and does not have a shelf life of several years.
We currently deliver over 10,000kg per month to more than 600+ customers throughout Bulgaria!
In 2023, we opened one of the most modern physical stores in the city of Sofia. Sofia! It is located on Blvd. “St. Naum: 10
Welcome every weekday from 10:00 -19:00, as well as on Saturday from 11:00 -15:00.
Our customers…
Many of our customers contact us because their pets refuse any type of food. After tasting our raw menus, their appetite increases and they are looking forward to each serving with great excitement. Most likely, your friend will also have a strong interest in the new raw menu, especially if he has eaten processed, commercial food so far. It is quite normal for your dog or kitten to have a greater appetite for natural and quality food.
But what is this magical food…
The BARF method is just becoming popular in Bulgaria, but it has been well known for years in Europe and America. Most professional breeders and racers feed their dogs it to maintain their good physical shape and overall well-being.
The BARF (Biologically Appropriate RAW Food) diet is the most appropriate way to feed dogs and cats according to their biological species.
It is raw and complete food, in the same shape, balance and quantity that our pets would receive in their natural environment. The BARF diet contains all the necessary ingredients and nutrients – meat, organs, bones, fruits, vegetables and oils. If we want our four-legged friends to reach their genetic potential in terms of health, longevity, physical activity and reproduction, their diet must resemble their evolutionary method of eating.
We are the largest Bulgarian brand for BARF food and we use only local, high quality raw materials from proven Bulgarian farms. Our recipes are balanced, complete and we carefully select each ingredient, together with our veterinarian Dr. Yoan Slavchev from the National Veterinary Clinic.
Do you want to try it too?
We are not focused on sales, but on satisfied and loyal customers. This is the reason why in 2023 we offer a refund of the entire amount for the order if you are not satisfied with the food. If your dog eats kibble, then you need to make a smooth transition with our chicken or beef menu and add a 100% herbal probiotic.

How to switch to BARF?
In the beginning, we recommend that you start with a monoprotein menu – chicken, beef or horse. Most dogs start with chicken, those who have intolerances and food allergies choose our beef or hypoallergenic horse menu. We advise you to include a probiotic or supplement that supports digestion and balances the intestinal flora, so the transition will be even easier.
The transition to the BARF method lasts from 10 to 14 days. Each organism is individual, so if your dog/kitten has a more sensitive stomach, extend the transition period. It is important to start with a minimum amount of raw meat. Mix the new menu with familiar food and add a probiotic.
Example:
Daily ration: 1 kg BARF
Transition period: 10 days
1st day: 100 g BARF (10% BARF + 90% other food)
2nd day: 200 g BARF (20% BARF + 80% other food)
3rd day: 300 g BARF (30% BARF + 70% other food)
10th day: 1 kg BARF
How is food stored?
Food is stored in the freezer for up to 9 months and in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
