How a small Bulgarian company is changing dog nutrition!

But let’s start from the beginning. My name is Kiril Todorov and I am currently professionally engaged in dog training and breeding. In 2015. I bought a wonderful boxer who stopped eating kibble when he was 9 months old.

Ajax turned over bowl after bowl of different granulated food, which openly demonstrated that he was hungry, but refused to eat granules!

Then I said to myself that there is certainly another way and I will find it! When I was a teenager, I had another dog, a Rottweiler. He also refused granules and the solution was to boil meat with vegetables for him, it was so time-consuming and expensive that I vowed not to do it to myself a second time.

It turned out that most owners in the West, professionally dealing with dogs, feed them raw meat, bones, organs, fruits and vegetables! That’s how I discovered the BARF method!

Then the questions and fears began!

Won’t the dog become aggressive? This quickly became clear that it was a myth. On the contrary, raw food calms dogs, as there are no excess carbohydrates in it to overexcite them.

Isn’t it dangerous? And this was also refuted very quickly. When frozen, most bacteria die and as long as you buy raw materials from proven and verified sources, everything is fine. In addition, dogs and cats have a relatively short and acidic digestive tract adapted to process raw and potentially bacteria-contaminated foods. The acidity of their stomach is much higher than that of humans, which helps to destroy harmful bacteria.

Isn’t it expensive? Ready-made BARF menus are at the price of the highest class of granules. Even if they were more expensive, I wasn’t looking for a compromise with my dog’s food, and in the long run, frequent visits to the vet are a much bigger expense.

After answering my questions, It was time to find the right brand as well. In Bulgaria, there were no fresh raw menus with quality raw materials and complete recipes.

And so the idea came to create my own brand that meets my quality requirements.
